After completing her medical education and specialization in Ankara in 2007, Dr. Asu Deniz Burhanoğlu was recognized by the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) in 2008 for her competence in aesthetic plastic surgery within the European Union. Since then, she has been a UEMS delegate. Throughout her career, Dr. Asu Deniz Burhanoğlu has continued to contribute to scientific publications and has been a presenter at various conferences.

    What is the golden ratio in nose aesthetics? +

    Nose; It is an organ in the middle of the face that really changes the appearance of the face a lot. There are a wide variety of calculations regarding the nose. These calculations are related to the lip-nose angle being at a certain angle, which is in our classic books. It differs between men and women. The back of the nose is slightly curved in women, it is straight in men, the forehead-nose angle is at a certain ratio, etc. All of these are achieved aesthetically or in a way that is suitable for the harmony of the face. This is what we do in surgery. We perform nose shaping by taking these angles and harmony into consideration.

    Is there an age limit for rhinoplasty surgery? +

    We generally perform nose surgeries on male and female patients over the age of 18.

    Are plastic surgeries painful? +

    Many plastic surgeries are not painful because they only concern the skin and subcutaneous tissues. Even if there is mild pain, it will pass in 1-2 days and can easily be controlled with painkillers during this period. In surgeries involving muscles, such as breast prosthesis surgery, the feeling of pain and tension may last a little longer.

    Is rhinoplasty a painful operation? +

    During the rhinoplasty operation, patients have a very comfortable post-operative period due to the local anesthetic we apply to the area. After a day, patients generally say, "I had a very slight tingling," and these complaints quickly disappear within a few days.

    What is the time it takes to return to normal life after breast augmentation surgery? +

    After surgery, patients return to their normal lives within 3 to 5 days. However, we recommend that they do not lift heavy objects for 15 days. I recommend that the patient use elastic sports bras that support the breast tissue from below for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, the patient can fully return to his normal life.

    How long does pain last after abdominoplasty? +

    Patients generally do not have pain after the operation. This is because; It is the application of very strong, long-lasting local anesthetics to that area before the patient wakes up. These are effective for approximately 18 – 20 hours. The next day, we help the patient get through this process by giving strong painkillers intravenously. After the second day, the pain decreases much more as a standard, and although it varies from person to person, the patient gradually returns to his normal life after the third or fourth day.
